Off-road motorcycle sales remained steady, with 41,190 units sold-an increase of 12 units compared to 2024. This stability highlights the enduring appeal of off-road riding among Australian enthusiasts. Additionally, the scooter segment experienced a 3.8% increase in sales, totaling 4,933 units. This growth reflects a shift towards more efficient and cost-effective urban transportation solutions.
FCAI Chief Executive Tony Weber commented on these trends, stating, "While total volumes softened slightly, it is encouraging to see resilience in parts of the market, particularly off-road motorcycles and scooters." He also emphasized the efficiency and affordability of two-wheeled transport in urban environments.
For consumers, these trends may present opportunities to explore a diverse range of motorcycles and scooters, with manufacturers continuing to invest in innovation, safety, and performance to meet the evolving needs of Australian riders.
